Could Chase Join The Precedent Breaking Trio

Could Chase join the precedent-breaking trio?

Jefferson contract sparks talks

Cincinnati Bengals star JaMarr Chase gave a shoutout to his former LSU teammate Justin Jefferson after he agreed to a historic contract.

The Minnesota Vikings and wideout Justin Jefferson have agreed to a four-year, $140 million extension with $110 million guaranteed. This makes Jefferson the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.

The Bengals and Chase can now begin contract negotiations. Chase is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is eligible for a massive extension.

If Chase signs a similar deal to Jefferson, he would join Jefferson, Davante Adams, and Tyreek Hill as the only wide receivers in the NFL making over $25 million per year.

What does this mean for the Bengals?

If Chase signs a long-term deal with the Bengals, it would be a major commitment from the team. The Bengals would be betting that Chase can continue to be a top-tier receiver for years to come.

It would also be a sign that the Bengals are serious about competing for a Super Bowl. The Bengals have a lot of young talent, but they need Chase to be a star if they want to take the next step.

What does this mean for Chase?

A long-term deal with the Bengals would be a huge payday for Chase. It would also give him the security of knowing that he will be with the team for the foreseeable future.

However, Chase is still only 22 years old. He has a lot of upside, but he also has a lot to prove. If he can continue to improve and produce at a high level, he will be worth every penny of his new contract.
